Post-NDK

NDK was dubbed Plotcon, and even with my stupid moments of emo was awesome fun times. Hearts for Colorado family (and associated non-Colorado family)!

Think I've got my lineup for next year sorted out. Three Saiyuki projects (I blame D and :iconginriru-tatsu:, in the most loving and happy way possible), KAYA DAMN IT, Shusui for Saiunkoku group, and possibly Hanajima to go with Katchan's Uotani. At least, that's the important stuff. One Saiyuki project I may table if I can't figure out how to make it work, but the other two are definitely happening. (And okay, there's bankai if Kubo shows us Captain Mom's -- NOT BLOODY LIKELY -- and sleepytime Kaya and working on doom!Risai, but that's kind of sidelines.) All in all, should keep me pretty busy. Next con planned for is ALA, and I want to have Kaya for that, so once the weather cools down, major push there. In the meantime, I'll work on Saiyuki stuff. :3

Didn't get con plague but did get a cold. Am ignoring it as much as humanly possible. Other than that, it's back to work and missing people. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

Blame wholeheartedly accepted...although I think D, the Saiyuki pimp, should get more blame than I.

And where will you find the time for all those costumes?!

Glad you had fun. See you at the beginning of December.

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most. : )~

I have no idea! May wind up having to reassess, but when I'm actually focussed, I can get things done pretty quickly. We'll see, anyway. :D First half of the year's definitely heavier than the second, especially moving up one of the Saiyuki projects since it sounds like D's aiming to come out for ALA.

At worst, I try and fail. This year was good for that; I figure my luck has to turn sometime!

(And yes, D definitely gets more blame. I'm already picking on her plenty for it.)
:iconmyalchod:
Yes! Very much looking forward to seeing everyone at that get-together!

(Now to start thinking holiday gifts. OTL ... )
:iconginriru-tatsu:
I see. I guess I just need to makes myself sew on the half of the day when I'm not at work. =P

Well, off to dinner so I can be off to Michael's to obtain materials for various different cosplay projects...a total of 3 if I'm lucky.

Yeah, it's always the motivation that's the hard thing. If I can manage to pace myself I'll get things done. If not ... well, I hope it doesn't come to that again. <_<;;;;;

Yay, dinner -- and craft supplies! I hope the shopping goes well! (Me, I'll be finishing tea and going back to work on my Sanzo crown, teehee.)
:iconginriru-tatsu:
OK, I'll bite. Why, pray tell, are you making a Sanzo crown?

:iconmyalchod:
Because I can!

Well, okay, that's actually part of it. But I want to do a Koumyou cosplay just for shits and giggles and to have one more cosplay where my eyebags and squintiness don't matter. :D And partly for Sakuracon, because I'm saving my primary Saiyuki cosplay for Fanime.

But really, it started out with "I wonder if I can do this with resincasting ..." Some days I love my brain.
:iconmyalchod:
... well, and the logic therein somehow amounted to 'if I'm going to do one part of a Sanzo outfit, I might as well do the whole thing!' Which might have actually started with a conversation with D about a certain personification of mercy and the need for cover-ups with that outfit and then my fascination with things I can make out of resin.

Or something. There really isn't much of an excuse or logic. :D
